Imprint House started with an idea - to simplify the art of creating a home.

It followed years of Natalie Walton working as an interior stylist, curating and editing people’s homes for lifestyle magazines. Before every photo shoot she would select pieces from her own collection to substitute often forlorn homewares - tired towels in the kitchen and bathroom; pilling or dated cushions, throws, blankets; vases too small in diameter; or chipped tableware. Other times it might be to help organise and consolidate the homeowner’s existing collections - stylish storage.

Soft, muted colours and seemingly simple designs with textural elements tended to work best - no matter what the style of the home, its location (urban or rural, coastal or country) or the existing decor. And the pieces that elevated the interior and added real interest were ones that had a handmade or artisanal element.

Many of the homewares in Natalie’s collection were found during her time writing and researching for interior magazines, and producing the art and design blog Daily Imprint. Both pursuits have brought her into contact with artists and artisans from around the world. Through Natalie’s own experiences, visiting homes with decor that has stood the test of time and interviewing countless experts, she has learnt the real value of well-made products - they last, not just physically, but in the style stakes too.

As a result, she has created Imprint House - an edited selection of the homewares that celebrate beauty and elevate function.

Heartfelt thanks to Natalie Walton for her support of An Adventure of the Heart.
