An Adventure of the Heart is a fundraising initiative founded by two friends, Marika Jarv and Lisa Brown. In awe of Dr Catherine Hamlin's work, and incredibly moved by the unimaginable and truly heart-breaking stories of her patients, Marika & Lisa felt compelled to help in some way....
MARIKA JARV
Designer Marika Jarv, started her career at the distinguished architectural firm Stutchbury & Pape. Now the mother of two young daughters, she currently juggles motherhood with running her eponymous, independent design practice from home. Combining a love for beautifully made things, with her experience in online retailing (via ex side-project PrintDolls), creating an online store of stylish wares as a way to raise funds for Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia seemed a natural thing to do.
LISA BROWN
Pre-kids, Lisa Brown forged a successful career in business and marketing management roles. After becoming the mother to three tomboyish daughters, she now combines her professional skills and compassionate nature to help others. As a key driver of a highly respected support network based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Lisa volunteers her time to raise funds for families in the local community during times of illness and bereavement.
